I'll try to get this to the range ASAP but just had some initial thoughts. This is the first micro "2011" attempt I suppose aside from the CSX which I was pretty excited for.
I think in a lot of ways they knocked it out of the park in how the gun is presented. Nice range bag, optics ready with direct mill RMSC, very nice aluminum frame with picatinny rail and fit and finish are excellent. Basically no wiggle in slide to frame fit. I think it might be a little bit bigger than a P365 but feels about the same in hand - but has much better ergonomics.
I was apprehensive about the trigger since it has a firing pin block and the shape/angle are not traditional. In the hand I don't have any real complaints; feels crisp with minimal creep. Not quite as good as an SFX9 but better than anything else on the market for it's role as a micro 9.
One complaint so far is the safety, which they cannot seem to get right on these smaller guns. It isn't difficult to disengage but has some wiggle in it and I just wish it felt more affirmative. It's definitely reminiscent of the P238 and old Kimber Micro 9, and not in a good way. It also really needs to be a bit wider. Really no ledge to rest thumb and is a bit difficult to engage. I understand the intent to make the gun concealable as possible but I think this was one area that needed more attention or compromise in this regard.
But all in all, so far anyway, the quality feels like it commands the price, which is about double most micro 9s. I'll post updates when I get it to the range.
