Although I like glocks, they've never felt great in my hand. Not a big deal, but I've always wished each new gen would be the one that was noticeably less blocky. I decided to try a Nomad Defense 9 (no magwell) on my G19.

Initial thoughts:

Pro - Feels better in hand. Grip angle is definitely more 1911 like. Texture is better. Double undercut and thumb rest is nice. The millimeter or so longer front strap with slight curve towards the trigger holds my pinky better.

Con. Holster compatibility. I'll eventually order one recommended for the Nomad, but it definitely won't fit well contoured designs for OEM frames.

Neutral??- The material is different than OEM. Hard to describe, but maybe less flexy? (this is purely anecdotal and subjective). I wonder if it will be enough to change the recoil? Range time will reveal.

Bottom Line - For $180 to my hand after all taxes and fees, it's similarly priced to frame work and can be easily removed. I like it.

edit spelling and added pics with DW Guardian (commander sized) for reference

Put a Johnny Glocks trigger with a Vex shoe in it and add the magwell and you’ll have the only glock style build I like outside of a Zev OZ9. I’m working on a 34 host build with a nomad lower that should be damn fun.
I tried the JG vex. And although the trigger action is great, I found the trigger safety to be temperamental. If your finger hits the face and lower portion of the shoe, it's great. For me and my huge hands I found pressure was applied closer to the top and it kinda locked the trigger and made it occasionally super sticky. But for most people I wouldn't expect them to have the same issue.
