Korth NXS vs Mongoose

I decided to finally get a Korth which I've been considering for a few years now. Does anyone have experience with the Mongoose or NXS? Local shop has a 3" Mongoose with 9mm cylinder and a 4" NXS with comp. Primarily a range toy although even my range toys I like to know I can use it in defense if necessary. NXS is more N frame size and holds 8 rounds vs 6. I can send it in in the future to get a 9mm cylinder, although the NXS 9 mm requires moon clips whereas the Mongoose doesn't. As configured the NXS is about $1k more. Would like to hear from anyone with experience, thanks!

I dreamed of having the Super Sport (357 close to the NXS) for about 5 years, and finally last year I bought it for myself for my birthday this year (i.e., a year early). I was not going to get the 9mm cylinder but they told me it was hand fitted to the gun so if I wanted it in the future I would have to send the Korth back. I'm like a sheep dog, I don't like things leaving the herd, so I bought the cylinder ($1,400). I was going to buy the NXS, but 44 mag ammo was in short supply and still is. I started buying whatever 357 ammo I could get when I ordered the gun so by the time it came in, I had a case of 357.

It is an AMAZING gun, absolutely fantastic. Feels great, looks great, and shoots even better. I can close my eyes, point the gun down range, and the next thing I know is that there are holes in the 10 ring! There is absolutely no recoil using 357 loads. I tried the 9mm once and it shot like a pellet gun, no fun at all to shoot. If I had it to do over again, I wouldn't get the 9mm cylinder. I shot some 38s and again, it's so lite it's like a 22lr. I hope this helps, here is my actual gun below. You will be ecstatic w/ the Korth. It's a little pricey, but that is a gun you'll keep forever. IMHO, I would get the NXS, super looking compared to the Mongoose.

I would at least put a small deposit on either one (or both), I would hate to see someone else come in and buy it while you're deciding. A few weeks ago someone on the Forum was looking at a Nighthawk VIP and deciding should I or not, and when they finally decided to buy it, the gun was sold!

Pls let us know what you decide, and what you think after taking it to the range. The only negative is it's a bitch to clean, but you'll smile all the way thru.

If you get the NXS I'm sure it will look as jaw dropping as the SuperSport! You have the benefit of seeing and actually holding that which will be yours. All the Nighthawks, Cabots, and Guncrafters I purchased I never had the chance to hold or even see. Actually, I held my first Nighthawk, a 45ACP Falcon. That did it for me, it almost demolished my son's inheritance

They are both amazing revolvers, one of the best triggers and highly accurate. Either one are wonderful examples of what a Korth can do. The Korth triggers are the closest thing to a 1911 trigger I have ever seen, it's simply a matter of which model calls you. Either way you go, I think you'll be happy.
