Hi guys, thought I would share this with you. This is an 1897ish Smith and Wesson Safety Hammerless model 3 in .38, commonly referred to as the "lemon squeezer" due to the grip safety! Anyway this belongs to my shooting bud and its been passed down in his family for a very long time obviously. He told me it wouldn't fire any more so I said I would love to look it over and see if I could fix it for him (I love revolvers too). Sure enough broken firing pin and NO firing spring present. Actually what I think is this particular firing pin is a 2 piece but all the replacements are one piece. Cleaned all the gunge out of it too. I was able to order up the parts from Jack First Inc at $26.50 and should have them next week. The gun is in very good condition otherwise for being 122 years old! View attachment 219227
