I picked up my 5.25" a little over a week ago, ordered it from Kebco back in Feb. I am very happy with it, love the construction, the feel, the looks, how it shoots, and have no complaints whatsoever.

So far I've put about 60 rounds of .357 through it in 2 range sessions, Fiocchi 142 grn FMJ and American Eagle 158 grn JSP. Started out more accurate with the Fiocchi, AE doing better for me now.
I noticed it looks they changed the front sight in the past year.

I had seen last year on the Manurhin Facebook page that the Manurhin importer had gotten Chapuis to make him a couple heavy barrel variants. He had one up on GunBroker, also 5.75" barrel, but it looks like the old auction isn't in the system anymore.

I am thinking is this real "Heavy barrel" or just some remarked MR38 Barrel...... Is this worth buying or I just wait for June got 5.25 classic. I have a colt python in 4 inches. looking for something different, should I buy Korth or MR73. I mean for price wise I might go to Korth because of MR73's price in Europe is much less than the Korth but in the state they are same

It does look like a MR38 barrel. I can't get pics of the old heavy barrel auction so can't compare.

I ordered the Manurhin over the Korth because of reviews from bac1023, lifesizepotato and other threads like this. And also that it is overbuilt for crazy strength and longevity, while still looking so classy.

45acpskng I am not sure who you are replying to but if you are saying the older Python is a better revolver than a Manurhin 73 that is not true in my opinion.
Colt never made a revolver better than a MR73 or a Korth. I own or have owned all three so speaking from experience. I really like Pythons but the other two are a cut above.
It’s not even close. The Python is a nice revolver, no doubt, but it’s sure no MR73 or Korth Combat.

Obviously more educated about revolvers than you.
Ok cool

Give them both a good thorough testing for accuracy and durability with some super hot 357 Mag loadings and let me know which comes out on top.

The MR has it all over the Python in terms of build quality, parts quality, durability, accuracy, refinement, attention to detail, fit and finish, etc.

I’m a huge Python fan, but I call it like I see it. It’s simply outclassed in every possible way. The Python was never built to the standards or for the expectations of the Manurhin.
