Browning, Springfield Armory, and Girsan all released them months ago.

A quick Goggle search turns up several options - caveat emptor.

There are several threads here about the new crop of HP’s. They are definitely out there and prices are starting to normalize (i.e., come down to MSRP or below).

Right now there are 3 "NEW" Browning High Powers out.

First is the SA-35:

This IMHO is an improved version of the original BHP. The retail MSRP is $699 but almost no one is selling them for that. They are still going fo $900-$1200 on GB. People are being stupid about them and over paying. If you are going to pay $1000 for a BHP get a FN gun. They have improved sights and the best factory safety on the market. They left the magazine safety off the gun. They however are not ready for prime time. Mine with a serial number around 6800 has had multiple FTE. This was with the SA OEM extractor and a FN OEM extractor which I installed after the SA part failed. You can see my complete thoughts here. It is a shame because of the ones on the market it has the best out of the box features and improvements. Hopefully they will fix the problem with the extractor and extractor channel and the guns will run.

Next is the Girsan MC P35 out of Turkey. These can be had for about $500-$550 depending on finish. They are available in a lot of places do not pay MSRP. This is a clone which closely resembles the spec on the FN Practical. It has similar sights an MKIII like ambi safety and grips. There is a hideous Warning rollmark similar to Beretta. These guns come in 3 colors. Black, FDE and Tutoned. They are all fnished in some sort of cerakote type finish. The only issues I have heard with them is loose front sights. No extraction issues. They do have a mag disconnect safety and require you to take the entire trigger assembly out to remove it. The biggest draw back on these is that if you change the sight you have to refinish the slide. The profile of the ramped front sight leaves a scar on the finish when you remove it.

They are also coming out with a Match OPS versions which has a rail, beavertail, flaired magwell, flat faced trigger and improved sights. These are MSRP at $699. These have not hit the stores yet. There are rumors that a Detective slide model like the FM Detective is in the work but I have seen no evidence of that yet.

Finally you have the New FN High Power which is really just a BHP in name. You do get a 17 round mag. No parts interchange. The come in black, FDE and Stainless. The black and FDE are PVD coated. It has block checkering on the front and rear grip straps. Ambi safety and decent looking sights. They run on different mags. It is larger and heavier. It might be a great gun on its own but it is not a Browning High Power. I am not sure what the market really is for this gun. No military is going to use it and for many consumers it misses the mark on what people wanted from a new BHP. To me the perfect mix would be a mashup of the SA-35 and the Girsan Match OPs. I have not had one in my hands but people who have shot one at demos say its a good gun. The first batches are hitting stores and many sold on GB under MSRP which is $1269 for Black and FDE or $1369 for stainless. I might pic one up if I can get it cheap but I am not going to pay $1400 for one.

wow - this is really helpful! I found a SA HP for $700. I’m a lefty so I prefer the ambi throttles but overall this was a great review of each model - thank you for taking the time to put this together.
