Top load battery, mounts to the RMR footprint. Buying Chinese worked, Trijicon is finally coming out to play. A little concerned with how high the deck height appears to be but I’ll reserve judgment for when we have a real press release from them.

Also interesting that this comes only a few days after the leak of the supposed type 3 RMR.

It only took holosun eating away their market share to update the rmr. Happy to hear they are launching an improved, more like updated rmr. Enclosed version sounds compelling - will be paying attention to the launch.

 

Thank you for sharing! The Trijicon page hasn’t updated yet but this is very interesting. I’m not clicking on reddit so will check again tomorrow. A combo of closed system, RMR footprint, and easy battery swapping is worth waiting for.

 

I wouldn’t expect anything new tomorrow, the type 3, or what I’m now seeing is called the RMR HD, was leaked probably a week ago now, and still no word from Trijicon confirming.

 

Nice to see them getting back in the game with a closed emitter optic. I’ll definitely be getting one.

 

I hope this is real. It is rather shocking to me how long they took to respond to the great Holosun products that have won over a large share of the civilian and LEO marked.

 

Trijicon reminds me of Glock…. They went to long without updates or new models etc. Others innovated and surpassed them . Now they have to play catch up.

Cool to have options but man, triji slept a little too long! Will probably cost much more than comparible dots with same (or more) features and same durability.

They’ll hope to win over the “but it’s made in the USA” crowd.

I’m sure I’ll end up with one, or both just out of curiosity and to get spun up on new dots on the market.

RMRs are still more costly than what I would consider better options out there with batteries that are easier to gain access to.

But, competition is good, and keep innovation going.

I've heard release could be as early as first week of August. There may be someone looking for a new fiscal year solicitation they want to compete for, so I wouldnt be surprised if it comes before SHOT. be curious to see when they roll it out. Shot seems to track most industry 🤞

If they could just make the SRO as tough as the RMR, they would run the market. I still feel like there isn't a red dot out there that I can pick up faster with my eyes than the SRO...and yes those are ugly asf imo!

 

unless you are open carrying a duty rig with SRO they are pretty stout for CCW.

 

Good. Then I'll be able to buy used RMR's cheap.

@ $849 you could do 2 RMRs and still have money left for batteries and locktite.

 

They almost had me, right up until I got to the price.

That's 4 Holosun 407C's which have basically the same feature set.

the recoilweb article argues that they should be “600s street price” which places it above the acro. My guess is they’ll get the initial hype beast Instagram and brand loyal crowd then have to dump the price.
