Nitre blue pins and grip screws…how long should they be blue?

Hey Addicts I hope all is well and it’s a great Sunday…one day closer to November.
I have ordered 2 sets of screws and pins in this finish from 2 different vendors. In just a matter of a month or two these things are a dull brown.
Is this out of the ordinary? Does anyone out there have a set that has kept its color for a while?

My nitre blue grips screws lasted about 3 range sessions and a 1000rds before it went totally bye bye. Still highly polished dark blue underneath, the lowers on both sides are starting to whiten...

Pretty normal with nitre blue... it looks wonderful when new but the color does tend to wear quickly when in contact with other surfaces (hands, holsters, etc).

I bought a set of pins and screws from Rob Schauland. I keep the screws for BBQ carry only so I don’t ruin them. I installed the pins but don’t touch them much, so we’ll see how long they last.
