Wanted it as a drop in for my Colt Combat Elite. Slide stop on it is fine, but is a bear to work with on reassembly. Mostly interested in the Wilson for the detent groove.

Occurs to me (now) I should have sought the wisdom of the addicts before ordering. Is this going to be a drop in part? Will it actually make assembly easier? Did I make a good decision?

The new one is stainless instead of black, but since the Combat elite is mostly stainless, hopefully it will look good with it.

What say ye? Good purchase, or no?

It was terrible before. The slide stop where it contacts the detent was completely squared off. No amount of effort could get the slide stop to go in as it was sitting on top of the detent. I would up having to use a thin blade to push it in anytime I wanted to reassemble the pistol:

That was annoying, hence the trying a new part.

I don’t want to scratch up my pretty pistol. Lol

May or may not be drop in, I cant remember the last part that I ordered that was actually a "drop in"
