I too am on the hunt, I'm trending towards a TXC (TXC Holsters - State of Confidence) but I have nothing hands on to offer. Mine's either been IWB or in a Safariland. TXC makes the holsters that Staccato sells direct through their store as well. Although I'm tempted to grab a Raven Concealment as I've had a ton of holsters made by them over the years (Outside the Waistband (OWB) | Raven Concealment Systems)

 

Raven was my go to until they stopped making the Phantom. I don't care for the Perun.

 

They brought it back recently

I went on the hunt and found that they were making them again... However it does seem like they have quite a long leadtime.

 

And they're crazy expensive. I was checking out the TXC on the Staccato website.

I have a Vedder Quick Draw OWB. Nothing fancy, but comfortable, secure and keeps everything nice and tight against the body. I like it for the P.

 

I had forgotten about Vedder. I have one of their Light Draws for another gun. I wonder if one of their holsters will work with a wider variety of red dots.

Agreed. I really like the Leather Wing. Black rhino owb TCS holsters are contoured really well too, with an off center moulding. Theyve got a couple different belt attachments to choose from with it.

 

Another vote for Blackpoint Tactical. Mine is mated to the TLR-7A

 

Lots of good options in here that i never knew of or considered. I've been a Blackpoint Tactical fanboy for awhile. I'm more of a fan of their traditional OWB holster. I tried the leather wing recently with my P and really don't find it as comfortable as I'd imagined. I think for a lighter carry gun it would make sense but with my P the leather wings have too much play and the gun always wants to kind of tip away from the body. Only way to prevent it for me is to really crank down the belt tension.

 

That's what I was thinking would be the case with the BP.

What JM OWB model did you order? I just ordered the OWB2 for my Staccato P. I will be putting an Acro in it. I guess it never crossed my mind it wouldn’t work. That model worked on my Glock with an Acro no problem.

On another note, anyone try a Milt Sparks OM-1? That might be a nice leather option.

If you selected the $5.00 option for the RDS cut you should be good. Otherwise they run it pretty high up the slide.

 

I hate this forum because you guys cost me money. I wasn't looking for another OWB but reading this thread got me looking at what's available currently. I ordered this G-Code Syncron from Staccato directly and am excited to try it out. I kinda like the options they have for converting their holsters from OWB to IWB and even adding attachments for competitions and such.

If leather is a route you might be interested in, I will suggest Wright Leather Works. His products are outstanding and can be ordered with or without optics cuts.

 

I have been using a few OWB holsters from KT Mech. Nothing overly fancy, but on the more affordable end and they offer just about any customization you might want.

 

Try Alien Gear, they have the of the most comfortable holsters that I have ever used. I do a OWB canceled carry with my Springfield XDS and my Sig both. You can check out safariland.com too.
