so, i've been living under a rock or was overloaded by the underwhelming ShotShow new products turn out.. and somehow missed this.
Primary Arms is pudding out a new US MANUFACTURED (except the crystals from Deutschland) enclosed optic, that imo looks great, has all the controls on the same side and seems to be a real performer with dot and Vulcan ACSS retical options.
.. and it's starting out- at $645, which seems like a lot, in some ways and ok in others.
i'll pay more for US made gear and won't run China made optics or parts on anything, guns or whatever, when it can be helped and when I can do so, without compromising quality and use, for intended purposes.

I watched a video on the manufacturing, function and it looks pretty amazing.
Currently, I'm running a mix of RMR, RMR HD, SRO and RCR.
Of them, I prefer the RMR HD ring dot but for dot, the RCR is a winner, depending on the weather.
I shoot outside, unheated and find that non-enclosed, some times of the year is difficult.. especially when it's cold and I'm going from warm to freezing temps and back, due to lens fog..
When it's a rain or snow day, or sub 30 day, I run the RCR.. which is essentially an RMR 'experience'.
In any event, while I don't need any optics right now and am set on my carry/ range optics.. until another gun comes into the house, I'll probably sell the RMRs off and cycle up to one or a few of these.
