I have a 19 Carry Comp. Yes, the port/comp works well. 38 spl feels like a 22 LR. 357 is very manageable. The 586-L gets you a 7 rd cylinder. My Dad has one I have shot. Shooting experience is very smilar with a small weight advantage to the 586.

 

Very good looking gun. I’ve been needing to add a new wheel gun.

 

This one is worth every penny. PC tuned trigger is great out of the box. Gets better with every 50 rounds. I practice with my J-frame because I have to (I carry it some times). I practice with my 19 Carry Comp because I want to (its just fun to shoot).

 

I LOVE my L-Comp. I had a little action work done on it. Great edc

 

I had the 66 F-comp for a while. It was cool, but I traded it away. I would rather have magnaport if ported was my desire, because you get 1/2” more rifled barrel. With the k-comp and f-comp gun, the comp area of the barrel is smooth.

 

I have a 586 L-Comp and have owned two 19 Carry Comps. I've owned my L-Comp for years, carry it often in the winter, and find it to be a great carry revolver OWB. One of the few on my "never sell" list, although friends have been trying to get me to sell it for years.

 

I went with 19 and the comp definitely makes a difference for the light&fast handloads

 

I love my 686s, they’re great fun to shoot. Not great to carry. I would love to get a 19 sometime.
