Since there are plenty of 1911 sight cut's out there, I thought that I would post the different dimensions that i have come across.

Novak is pretty much the standard cut for 1911 sights.
Front: 65° x 330" x .075" (have also seen .060" and .070")
Rear: 65° x .495"

Springfield used to use the standard Novak rear cut, but it's changed since after ~2002 to a smaller cut.
Front: 60° x .330" x .078"
Rear: 65° x ~.490"-.485" (this is just a smaller cut in the dovetail, which requires filing down the sight to fit)

STI
Front: 60° x .300” x .074"
Rear: Novak (fixed) 65° x .495” or BoMar (adjustable)

Armscor (RIA Tactical and Citadel)
Front: 65° x .330" x .085"
Rear: 65° x .487" (similar to Novak, but needs to be fit like the Springfield.)

Dan Wesson uses a combination of standard Novak rear and Springfield front:
Front: 60° x .330" x .078"
Rear: 65° x .4.95"

Kimber has it's own sight cuts.
Front: 65° x .330" x .070”
Rear: 60° x .3605" x .194"

Wilson Combat:
Front: 60° x .300”
Rear:

Smith & Wesson has it's own sight cuts. I haven't looked into what they are.

Okay, another noobie question. I have tried to find the answer with no such luck. My ATI has Novak "drift-adjustable sights", would that be the same as listed above? Also I got a free set of Trijicon CA01 sight coming to me, will those fit? If not how much would it run me on average to get a gun smith to do it? I'm thinking about once I get this thing back from ATI I'm just going to trade it for something else... I can find anything about anything on this thing on the google machine...

What are the specs for a colt gov model, I have a old standard Colt 1911 that I want a new adjustable rear sight. The frame is a 1914 and the slide is a few years newer, with the horse logo in the middle. Any recommendations for a good sight? It also has a rail on top the slide, both front and rear set pretty tall.

Question about Trijicon

Folks, my 2009 Canadian built Para-Ordnance .45 single stack Nite-Tac came with Novak cut Trijicon front and rear sights. As the half-life of Tritium is 12 years, my dots are near faded to black.

I am seeking to replace the sights with exact replacements, but Trijicon doesn’t carry the design that my pistol has.

I have spent a few hours trying to find a source that might have these sights in stock to absolutely no avail.

The option to have new sights smithed onto the slide is daunting as the slide is Cerakoted in Coyote Brown and then had the markings laser etched onto the finish.

These pistols were one-offs in memento of our tour in Afghanistan in 2008, so a slide refinish would obliterate the bonafides that the markings provide.

Can anyone look at the pics below and see if they recognize the sights, please?

If anyone can send a link to a supplier, my gratitude would be endless.
