Brazos are the cheapest I’ve used/seen. Their H&G 200 SWC runs great, I hate the gold coating but I live with it.

Tried Blue Bullets 200 SWC but it caused issues in my gun.

 

Coated bullets also cause a lot of problems. Was talking to McCormick today and that came up.

 

My last order of .45 coated was from ibejiheads, case 2200 200 gr RN $209 delivered.

I feel like it changes often so I usually check those sources listed above but also like to scour ammoseek.com to make sure something new didn't pop up.

 

Missouri, Bayou, Berry's all excellent. Been very pleased with Berry's Hybrid Hollow Point.

 

I have not reloaded before - how much does it cost for the equipment to get started, and at the end of the day how much does it cost per round for reload if you are buying at 1000 to 2000 round quantities?

For 9mm and 45, I use pretty much the same manufacturers:

• Berry's (plated)
• Zero's (FMJ)
• SNS Casting (coated)
• Ibejiheads (coated)
• Xtreme (plated)

I've found with my 9mm load and 45 load, that regardless of bullet, they are all very accurate, so whatever is cheaper, I buy

 

Berry 9mm are 357 which is great, Xtrene are .355 which means taper crimp doesn't work well and frankly I was disappointed in Xtreme quality.

I just stopped using plated bullets. Quality is important to me, more so than cost.

 

I used to shoot Xtreme plated, but ever since their prices have increased to FMJ levels, I have switched to Precision Delta and Rocky Mountain Reloading for my bullets and haven't looked back.

 

Used to Xtreme, never impressed. Precision Delta are exceptional and I order regularly. And FAST service!!!

 

A couple of other brands are Bayou Bullets, they do High Tech coating. Bad Man Bullets are fairly priced and shoot well. The Zero for your competition needs, jacketed hollowpoint is their game.
