What is “speed sight” and by “other pistols” do you mean non 1911’s?

 

Speed Sights is the brand name for that diamond shaped sighting system And yes, they don't seem to be offered for 1911's, at least yet.

 

Got it, was unaware of that/them.

Add; I’d think they’d be sold by dovetail dimension; Heinie, Novak, etc.

 

Ordering them is pretty easy, just tell the manufacture the pistol you want to install them on and they do the rest. What I was wondering is if anyone has them installed on any of their pistols, and if they like or dislike the somewhat different sight picture/aiming procedure.

Well I ordered a set. Old eyes need as much help as I can get. Ditto here on limits to high tech inovations!

 

Speed sights look really great.
Wish they had them for 1911s.

Interesting concept. Not sure this is an improvement on the bar-dot-bar (--O--) H3 sight picture, though.
