Staccato C2 vs STI DVC C

I find it interesting that an STI DVC C is bringing well over MSRP these days.

I have the C2 and have never held a DVC C, but find it a bit confusing that it is worth the extra $500-700 more that people are paying.

For those that have had both the STI DVC C (or DVC Carry) and the Staccato C2, which do yo prefer, and why?

Your are looking at two different animals with similar features.
But the DVC was a steel frame vs aluminum. The more popular tree bark grip. More slide machining and came standard with the rose gold TiN barrel. And I may be mistaken, but I don’t thing the bottom end of the DVC-C allowed for a magwell.
Some would argue that when the DVC pistols were building built, was at STI’s pinnacle of production.

Between the 2, if I was carrying everyday for hours in end, C2. The weight savings will be more noticeable than anything else. The DVC-C if it was going to be shot more than carried.

Keep in mind that I am in the process of switching from an all steel STI Guardian to a lighter weight C. The Guardian definitely is softer shooting, but both are accurate. But as soon as I held it, I could feel the 8oz difference.

I've had multiple iterations of both. Differences offered in the DVC-C or DVC Carry are night sights, short trigger, ES grip, slide cuts, TiN bbl coating and no mag well. Also, I don't believe the DVC-C was offered in an optic-ready version until maybe at the very end of their run, when STI was using the HOST mounting system. And I thought my Carry models were alloy frames- I don't remember them being significantly heavier than my C2.

Regardless, it's going to come down to your preferences and your bank account. At the end of the day, for me, a brand new Staccato C2 DPO w/ Trijicon RM01- which displays absolutely surgical accuracy in my hands- can be had for less $$ than a used DVC-C in which I'd have to invest additional $$ to give me a comparable setup to my C2.
