Had one in 45 and no real issues that I remember.

 

That was a good pickup. I have not heard of issues with the TCP

 

Nice pickup! I have an ecp which is basically the same pistol with some cosmetic differences. No picatiny rail , magwell and has bobbed grip. Runs like a top and has eaten every type of ammunition I’ve feed it. I believe you are going to really enjoy this pistol.

 

i had one in 9mm, it was a 2018 and it was a great shooter, just traded it in for newer and better things. Never had any issues with mine. Shot extremely well.

 

I have one in 9mm. It's the most comfortable gun I own, in terms of how it feels in the hand.

The only issue I have with mine is that the mag catch is a bit grabby. I basically have to pull the magazine out of the pistol, particularly if it's empty and there's no weight to it.

I had the same issue on another Wesson and it just requires a bit of reshaping.

 

I’ve got one in 9mm. Almost bought one on gunbroker last night in 45 (I think it sold for $850 or so). I love my TCP I think it’s the perfect 9mm 1911 Duty pistol. I carry my ECO mostly around town but around the TCP stays on me while I’m working at home. Mine shoots incredibly well and all who try it love it.

 

The TCP are awesome. Ate everything I fed it. No issues at all

Congrats on your new TCP Mike Stevens. My 9 mm DW's ate up every brand of factory FMJ I fed them except for Magtech and Sig. If in doubt, do a plunk test before you buy a large quantity of ammo.

Other than that, if you have not owned a DW in Duty Finish, you may want to read the manual for specific clean / lube / break-in instructions.

Amazing. My TCP is in flight right now waiting to receive it. I picked up a 45 "Blem". Will inspect and decide at that point. From photos.. What Blem? If mechanical problems do come up, I just want it handled. Finish meh... Looking to carry if all checks out. One question for everyone. Given a choice between a TCP or a Bul Armory Commander. Which way would you go?

 

If you don't mind me asking, where did you find the "Blem" model? Did you buy direct from Dan Wesson?

 

I picked up a 9MM Dan Wesson TCP yesterday afternoon. One of those deals that occasionally falls in your lap. Didn’t really want or need it but the price was right.

It’s a 2018 gun. Doesn’t look like it’s been fired much at all. Came with the box and documents and a couple of extra Chip McCormick magazines. I think the sights were swapped out with Novak’s.

I’m thinking about changing out the grips with Rail Scales or VZ’s, probably change out the rear sight and MSH/magwell.

Going down the TCP review Rabbit Hole now. Anyone know about these things, any issues or concerns I should be worried about?

Yep, standard Novak cut. I dropped a Novak orange ringed tritium in my ECP.

 

I have 2000 rounds on mine in 9mm; feels nicely broken in . The only issues requiring attention were tensioning the extractor and breaking sharp edges in the frame by the grip safety, thumb safety area. I ran 300 rounds of aluminum blazer brass this weekend & it eats everything.
