I saw one of the ugliest 1911's I have ever seen in my life. I can't find a pic but I was watching American Guns and Rich made a 1911 for his wife for an, anniversary gift. It had some God awful engraving on it and was silver plated, and had diamonds in the sights to replace the white dots, and it had diamonds embedded in the grip panels. Rich should be ashamed of him self for doing that to a 1911:Cry:

The worst part is that the grips have over 10 karats of diamonds. You would think the jeweler could at least make them in a nice font and actually inset the stones in the grips. It looks like a 4 year old glued the diamonds on. Then after watching those fools try to fit the gun back together after the plating. Well... thats a whole nother thread.

I had the misfortune of watching this episode of American guns.....the whole time i was yelling at the tv! Still don't understand where he came up with the idea. Showed my fiancee and she hated it.
