What do you guys think about Volquartsen .22 LR rifles? Have a Dead Air Mask 22 HD in jail and would like a nice .22 LR rifle to put it on.

You can't go wrong with Volquartsen. I have a Volquartsen "Battleworn" IF-5 and it's both a looker and a tack driver. Their pistols are fantastic as well - love my Black Mamba (also a tack-driver). They are a well-run company and I'm certain that they will correct the issue with the Summit mentioned earlier. That one must be the proverbial exception that proves the rule.

thanks to the generosity of @BCD 45 , my first Volquartsen 22lr( deluxe) was such a great find that I HAD to get another 22lr rifle . MY best shooting rifles BY FAR. fun too. top quality parts come together to make a top quality rifle( pistols too). They take great pride in what they make @ Volquartsen. I put one of their trigge r kits in my ruger 22/45. sure changed that gun into something more fun to shoot. smooth as can be and a much shorter travel than the original gritty one that came in the gun .Worth every penny IMHO and their CS is top notch as well. THe Volquartsens are proud people. Scott is a wonderful person to deal with. He cannot do enough for a customer....all of this makes me want to buy another.....

When the last ammo shortage occurred everyone at the club dug out their .22 LR for Steel Challenge. Everyone had issues with theirs except for the guy who bought a Volquartsen just before it started. It just ran and ran and ran. Everyone else was doing the tap, rack, and bang drill while cursing ammo manufacturers. I'm quite impressed by their reliability and accuracy.
