No problem there. That's what the firing pin hole is supposed to look like on a Glock.

 

No, no it's not. It should be rectangular in shape.
That said, this is not the first G43 I've seen with it cut out like that. I'm going to assume it's on purpose and idiosyncratic to the G43.

The new G43 & G42's have the tear drop firing pin hole....it's normal. Supposedly a new geometry for "self-cleaning"....fire away!....

I almost never read anything about plastic guns, and definitely not in details. This latest technological advance escaped my attention...

 

Had to look, my well shot g43 is the same. Guess I can file it in the "now you know" column

 

Just checked my wife's G42s and they've got the same keyhole looking firing pin hole.

This is such a non-debate. It is really simple if one just looks at Glock's release timeline.
First came....Gen 4
Then Glock 42/43, with no designation as to "generation" either at launch, or to date.
Lastly - Glock Gen 5

So even if I know nothing else beyond the above, it is fair to assume based on sequencing that the 42/43 would have some evolutionary features between the Gen 4 and Gen 5, which they, as it turns out....do. The firing pin hole/pin design are of course two of them.
