WTF Glock firing pin hole?

I saw a G43 for sale, looks mint... Except for this:

Anyone has an idea of what is going on here? I even tried to see if that was an optical illusion...

No, no it's not. It should be rectangular in shape.
That said, this is not the first G43 I've seen with it cut out like that. I'm going to assume it's on purpose and idiosyncratic to the G43.

This is such a non-debate. It is really simple if one just looks at Glock's release timeline.
First came....Gen 4
Then Glock 42/43, with no designation as to "generation" either at launch, or to date.
Lastly - Glock Gen 5

So even if I know nothing else beyond the above, it is fair to assume based on sequencing that the 42/43 would have some evolutionary features between the Gen 4 and Gen 5, which they, as it turns out....do. The firing pin hole/pin design are of course two of them.
