I’ve never heard of CCW Breakaways til now. I agree with the others about the 5.11 jeans, though. Very comfortable and don’t have that tacticool wannabe operator look.
A bit less expensive are the LAPG jeans. They use a similar denim stretch fabric and also have mag pockets like the 5.11s. They don’t fit me as nice as the 5.11’s, but they still look decent. The LAPGs were a bit big on me around the waist, though. Their cargo pants are also relatively cheaper than other brands, but they shrink a lot when washed and dried in a drier. I’m a size 34 inseam, and they shrunk a whopping 2” after being put in the drier a few times.
I also tried Tactical Distributors McQuade jeans. Same comfy stretch denim with extra mag pockets. The waist fits true to size for me, but their overall fit is kind of weird on me. Kind of hard to describe, but I feel my body type may just be unique enough that they just don’t feel altogether right. I also tried Tactical Distributors slim fit stretch denim jeans, but they were more like skinny jeans in my opinion. They fit kind of tight around the calf area. I’m too old to care about that style, so maybe they’re designed for the younger crowd. Aside from that, their shorts and shirts are very nice and fit great.
