Those things are great! I use the small ones to ship guns I sell. A lot of times you can ask for one from the back and its still in cardboard which can be used to ship it.
The buyers love receiving them as well.
I just bought the small one to ship a Government Model, it fit but just barely.
12 bucks is cheap peace of mind.

Edit
I was made aware of them because of this thread. Thanks to @rod727 for posting.

I just received the Apache 2800 and custom foam from Cobra. It securely holds 4 1911’s and 8 cut outs for mags. Each mag cut out can probably hold 2 mags. Really happy with it and all in for $60. The case was $20 on sale at Harbor Freight plus approximately $40 for the foam. Thanks to the OP!

I did a Harbor freight Apache 3800 with a cobra foam insert $39.95. It works great for thinner framed guns like 1911s. The HF cases are of OK quality, I trust it as much as any other case with my moderately expensive cargo. I would only buy one when they are on sale or with a coupon. I have cases by Pelican, Cabellas, and SKB. I think the Cabellas are the best for the price, with a very nice metal latch.

I picked up an Apache 3800 case from HF with the 40% off coupon recently all in call it $25 and change. I figured at that price I could splurge on some custom foam from cobra. I put it all together and snapped a couple of photos. These are are all 1911 5” Government models and they fit perfectly. Im happy with the investment.

That’s brilliant. I’m heading to HF this weekend. Thanks for sharing

Probably made by the same laborers in a country far away from America (China Freight). I've been using Pelican but growing tired of having to replace the latches. Doing so necessitates mild butchering of the lid of the case to R&R the pins that attach the (free) replacement latches.

I have cases by Pelican, SKB, Bass Pro( Cabella’s), and harbor freight. Comparing the harbor freight and the bass pro brand hard cases the bass pro case has the nice metal latches. The latches also look easily replaceable and recessed for protection. The BP look to be made of a slightly sturdier plastic, similar to a Pelican case, which I would consider to be a top-tier case. The Bass Pro cases are my favorite but I would not hesitate to get y the Harbor freight again , especially if it’s on sale. I paid more for the custom foam insert than I did for the actual harbor freight case and it suits my needs perfectly.
They will all outlive me.

Nice. I picked up awhile back a 3800 and case club foam holding 4 pistols and mags. i think i escaped under $80 Case and Foam. Sure works for me compared to Pelican. Neceessity is the mother of invention. I messed up when purchasing a 10 gun roller case. Its a small work out loading in the car... 10 guns, mags, phew. It serves a purpose just not going to the range regular. Plus thinking about it carrying around $30-$40k worth of guns on wheels. I didn't reallly think it out thoroughly.

So Right Sizing is a thing.
