I picked up an Apache 3800 case from HF with the 40% off coupon recently all in call it $25 and change. I figured at that price I could splurge on some custom foam from cobra. I put it all together and snapped a couple of photos. These are are all 1911 5” Government models and they fit perfectly. Im happy with the investment.

Left to Right. Nighthawk Delegate Single Stack, Wilson SFX9L Double Stack, CZ 97BD Double Stack, and Jacob Grey TWC9 2011. I have an ammo and gear carrier of a rolling laptop bag. I've had different configurations depending on if it's 9 or 45 day. I think the CZ hadn't been shot in awhile had to exercise it some. The foam can be configured in Single Stack or Double Stack. Its tight fitting in 2 singles in a double stack hole.

I picked up the 4800 a while back when they were on sale but just got the replacement foam for it from my case builder. Super nice stuff.

Nothing wrong with it and I think it actually looks cool. I've broken so many adjustable rear sights from shooting high round counts, that I don't like to have any downward pressure on them. Idk, maybe I imagine the case upside down and the foam snags the sight while the weight of the pistol shakes against it or something weakening the sight. If it's just a range gun, I don't think it matters. But I've broken more than 1 in a match and lost because of it, or the week before a match while training. So I'm just protective over them ha
