I have a Kimber ProCarryII, my only Kimber. I really like the pistol but am curious as to why the barrel is offset. It is my only Bull barrel 1911. I do have other style pistols with bull barrel and they are all concentric.
I was wanting to put a keyed recoil bushing in it. Dont think that is an option with the barrel though.
Mostly because the space under the barrel haunts me. Thats why.

Thanks for any info

I also have the Pro-Carry in 45 and 9mm and both shoot flawlessly and to point of aim. The barrel contour allows for tilt and lock up in battery. No worries. I have 5 Kimbers in 45, 9mm and 38 Super.

I wouldn't trade any straight across for a similar Colt unless it was already "accurized"! :)
