Its only had 1 magazine through it. Worked perfectly and accurately.
Ill send kimber a email, got wondering now if it ok to keep shooting it. Lol

 

Friends do not let friends shoot Kimbers.

 

I am by no means an expert, and you said it shoots fine. In this picture does it looks cracked/split to anyone else?

 

Springfield Range Officer Champions used a strange bull barrel, straight line on the bottom of the barrel, except there was a large upwards bump where the bull barrel seated in the slide.There's a name for that type of slide, but I don't remember what it is.

The barrel in my Pro Carry II looks just like that. I bought it used from a friend a few years ago, not sure how much he shot it. I've only put about 800 rounds thru it but its never been a problem.

 

Never seen that before. 😳

 

It's like they started cutting, then realized "sh*t, I'm way off", repositioned and kept cutting....

 

Thats actually a little scary......I would definitely ask Kimber about it

 

I have 2 Kimbers one in .45acp and the other in .9mm and both the Pro Carry designation-
Both barrels are exactly the same as yours-I think it's probably a relief cut for barrel tip-
Just a guess but every Pro Carry I have seen are exactly like that-
No worries shoot and be happy-

 

I also have the Pro-Carry in 45 and 9mm and both shoot flawlessly and to point of aim. The barrel contour allows for tilt and lock up in battery. No worries. I have 5 Kimbers in 45, 9mm and 38 Super.

I wouldn't trade any straight across for a similar Colt unless it was already "accurized"!
