These are from Boone Trading Company called “American Ivory”. It’s hard to see the grain in these pics. The photo on their website shows it better.

I've read this is the best material currently available. Apparently, it even shows "Schreger lines".

I've also got a set of American Hollys. They look pretty close, but the feel is different. Ivory is very grippy in the hand.

Colt and Kimber sporting real Ivory.

Some of the faux ivory is looking good. If I remember correctly in the M1911 knife pic the grip panel on the left is the faux ivory and the right panel is real.

it’s pretty good, and yes it has the lines. Here is my example beside some elephant ivory and mastadon interior ivory:
