Love the 2 tone! Looks good with the classic slide and the curved trigger guard. I almost went that way with mine.

thanks! I’ve been impressed so far. I actually think the trigger out of the box is better than my C2. There is no take up at all on it, to the point that going from shooting my glocks with the Glock performance triggers to the C2 I do fine, but going to the platypus I have to remind myself that the trigger required basically no prepping at all.

The ignition parts look to be EGW which is an upgrade for many 2011's. Mine has a slight amount of take up.

The extractor looks to be an EGW Practical.

Can you actually get a cowitness picture over the DPP?

The only issue is FOMO for other design options... I had a tough time deciding.

Its a very low co witness but they do slightly peek into the dpp window.

There were a handful of designs I wanted. If I had unlimited $...

I contacted EGW and they said their 1911 guide rods and safeties will fit the platypus. That would fix everything that annoyed me except for the ledge on the frame.

Yes! Now we can do Seagal press checks with the Platy! I do prefer a GI guide rod though.

I have a 10lb spring on order to try in mine. Got the sight zeroed, but barely. The deltapoint pro elevation was topped out to get a 10yd zero.

Likely the route I'll go for my commander length. Good to know for sure but I didn't anticipate a reason why it wouldn't work
